Raising Awareness

Raising Awareness Program

The Arab Center for Consulting and Training Services (ACCTS-AWT) undertakes a Social Development Program that aims to generate a new class of Jordanian women, through initiating and proceeding with the following strategy:

  • Building bridges with the society and the Jordanian women through open dialogue and discussion of some critical social issues that touch their daily lives

  • Increasing knowledge, raising awareness, motivating Jordanian women to break the cycle of destructive social practices and embracing positive attitudes by pursuing positive change in their personal, spiritual and social life

  • Changing the woman’s perspective of herself and boosting her self-esteem

  • Renewing mindsets and creating awareness on gender equality and violence issues

  • Developing women’s communication with others

  • Providing a place for women to come seeking help and counseling

This program is an approach to target young women from the community through workshops. These young women come from different backgrounds in Jordan and have the chance to attend different awareness sessions of our program.

Christian values are instilled in the hearts of young women through the teaching. Additionally, some clips of our TV discipleship program materials are shared during the sessions.

Provided topics include:

  • Differences between men and women

  • Impact of women's unmet needs

  • Learning Your Personality Program

  • Five love languages

  • Confrontation

  • Conflict resolution

  • Self-defense and violence awareness

  • Balanced life

Young women learn a tremendous amount about themselves. Of course, the warm and friendly atmosphere helps them to communicate openly about their real-life experiences, and support each other, too. As a result, the ladies apply what they learn and regularly share what it with their families, close friends and acquaintances.

The AWT team follows up with the ladies and updates them with our latest activities, website articles, radio and TV materials plus social media posts through a closed group on Facebook. Quality time is spent with the young women both before and after the meetings
