Christmas Party

AWT hosted a Christmas party gathering diverse members of the community to celebrate with one another.

19 December 2016

This unique event was a very special affair. A Christmas party was hosted in the Community Center and we were graced by the presence of Syrian and vulnerable Jordanian beneficiaries to celebrate together in harmony. Forty five ladies from both Christian and Muslim background came together for the happy occasion.

The program featured a short sketch by the church team, games, sharing stories, giving gifts and lunch. This gave an opportunity for more positive intercomumunal relationships through sharing experiences by beneficiaries and hearing each others stories.

Overall, it was heart-warming to hear laughter and joy from hurt and vulnerable people. The event itself greatly empowered the attendees and gave them more optimism and hope in their lives. Moreover, this act of love touched their hearts in a way they felt new doors open for them.

We would like to extend a special thanks to ZOA, ACCTS and all donors who possess great passion towards those in need. Also for enabling an event like this to be made possible and succesful for the community. We hope to replicate such events in the future for the benefit of the vulnerable in our community.

‘Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.’ – Calvin Coolidge
