Preschool children graduation

ACCTS Community Center graduates a new group of Syrian and vulnerable Jordanian pre-schoolers. Children are now ready for a smooth transition to school.

19th June of 2019

Irbid, Jordan (ACCTS/ICC) - ACCTS Irbid Community Center at Husson celebrated on June 19th, 2019 the graduation of 19 Syrian and vulnerable Jordanian preschool children who have joined the program since January 2019.

The party started by welcoming the attendance. The manager of the center addressed the parents about the preschool program, which lasted six months starting January until June 19 of 2019. Then a focus group discussion took place along with the children mothers who expressed their profound gratitude to all parties for helping their children live their normal childhood. The children performed different activities of singing and dancing.

At the end of the celebration, the children received their first certificate in their life and had a different kind of sweets made by their mothers.

The preschool curriculum at the center is designed to encourage four and five-year-old children to be imaginative, energetic, inquiry-based learners who explore the classroom environment with curiosity and purpose. Pre-schoolers are eager to learn, and all activities are designed to involve and engage these children with interesting lessons, materials, and games. Throughout the day, physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development are nurtured in a warm, caring, safe environment, providing children with the early skills to become lifelong learners.

Daily activities are scheduled in whole group and small groups to promote socialization and community building. Children engage in conversations with teachers and friends daily, learning to take turns, listen, and share. All activities are well planned to prepare children for a smooth transition to school.
