ACCTS August 2021 Newsletter

"In all things, I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" Acts 20:35

Dear friends and partners,

Gladly this month, we celebrated our firstborn's wedding; our precious son Ramzi got married to Mrs. Dema Samarneh in a festive, majestic celebration on 20 August 2021.

We pray for the newlyweds for the Lord to be sovereign over their life and marriage. We pray for a house build on the rock and never shakes but always brings fruit.

A lot is going on in the office this month. Virtual workshops covering the Arab region started vividly in AWT. A new integrated Salesforce system is in its last stages of installment. Our team is dedicating many efforts to prepare for the upcoming leadership training opportunities for women and youth. I, Nabeeh, am holding training in Erbil about the role of deacons and elders in church leadership on Sept. 10 and 11. Keep the participants in your prayers and me.

We thank God for having people like you who support the kingdom's work and help spread the benefit to many.

Career Path Training – How to build my professional future

"Study yourself and see if you're fit for the profession. Make sure not to be an imitate copy of someone. Someday is not a day, so start planning. Having a passion doesn't mean you shouldn't make an effort. Discover your uniqueness and know your values!"

With these words, 40 potential Arab women from 7 Arab counties began this inspirational, specialized training that would sustain them to build a successful career path; one filled with passion on the one hand, and on the other hand, it sets them out for appropriate workforce opportunities where they can generate income and influence their families and societies.

The training covers topics on Career Planning, Personal Branding and provides women with practical tools to promote themselves, such as LinkedIn, and assistance to write a CV that better represents their professional and personal identities.

A Certified Trainer, Career Adviser, Recruitment & HR Consultant leads these five interactive sessions during August and supports the women with her expertise, counsel, worksheets, suggested resources, and personal follow-up through a WhatsApp group created especially in support of the training.

Even if behind a screen, women were able to connect, interact and even encourage each other with positive messages from life experiences.

One lady shared, "I understood where I stand. I reached the phase of self-understanding and could recognize the career in which I'll recruit my efforts and continue my studies."

Another expressed her heart and said, "Thanks to everyone. Today I made sure that I'm on the right track. God's will I'll reach at the right time. Frankly, I didn't expect that I could really understand myself within this short time of attending this friendly training."

I can see my dream as a reality that I say, do, and live!

These are Youstina's words. Youstina is an enthusiastic young Egyptian young lady who is a radio presenter and loves to write and communicate. Her story with (AWT) began through joining our social media page in March 2020, with the beginning of the Corona pandemic and turning programs virtual to keep pace with the change and adapt to the online revolution through our social media platforms. She then joined our life-growth training in 2020 that significantly impacted her and participated in most of our Facebook campaigns and awareness programs.

Youstina's story didn't stop here; she went on to be one of the first candidates to participate in the 2021 Authentic Leadership Training. Her interventions and participation were powerful and effective. Her interest and commitment were great, as she showed a great passion for learning and development. Her relationship with the AWT team has deepened; communication was no longer limited to follow-up on training and its requirements but instead had developed to a more intimate level leaving a notable impact and creating a sense of belonging.

At AWT ministry, we do not only provide an opportunity for training and access to adequate training and workshops, but we also seek to empower and support the participants in all available means and possibilities. We provide a platform for them to share their progress. We walk the journey with them and become part of their development. Therefore, we offered a special invitation to Youstina to volunteer with us. We have already empowered her through the first training to be a team leader and facilitator in the second one.

This invitation left a great impression on Youstina, which increased her enthusiasm to be an ambassador for AWT. We followed up with her and assisted her personally to lead her team. It has been like a practical, complementary training opportunity. God has been working behind the scenes. Youstina encouraged us, saying that this invitation was a reminder to her and a revival of her childhood dream calling. These are her words,

"When I joined Nouara Training in 2020, I was confused and not entirely focused because I was experiencing the responsibility of motherhood for the first time. When you asked me to lead a team in the life-growth Training 2021, at first, I didn't know what to do and how to help. However, I felt deep inside me that I don't want to encourage people to apply what they learned in the course only, but I want to fulfill my childhood goal, the dream I had since I was in the fourth grade of primary school. I had always had this passion for serving people to live their lives better so that they see God, themselves, and the world in the right way. My heart's quest was to tell people that Jesus is so sweet and like no other. Thank you for reviving it and fanning into flame the gift of God. I have a longing to convey this message: the believer is inseparable from society and can be influential. I would invite the girls around me to know themselves correctly and heal from all damaging accusations spoken against them. My enthusiasm is no longer connected with volunteering with AWT but rather with the excitement of seeing my dream a reality that I say, do, and live."

Help us inspire more people like Youstina today!

Pray for our end-of-year campaign. Time is running fast, and we're still facing a significant deficit in our budget. A gift of any kind can help us keep going with our programs.
