“Men shall speak of the power of your awesome acts, and I will tell of your greatness. They shall eagerly utter the memory of your abundant goodness and will shout joyfully of your righteousness. The LORD is gracious and merciful.”
Psalm 145:6-8

What a Month!

Congratulations team. It is indeed a title that we DREAMED to see by faith. DREAMED we would achieve when we started this journey 20 years ago. Floods of positive feedback started to come our way from our trainees of the different programs. We remember our Lord’s words and approve them with encouragement, “the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few!”

Well, thanks to the fantastic team of ACCTS, who despite being few, are reaping a plentiful harvest! We have a lot to celebrate this month, so be sure that our Lord recognizes every single one of you!

Our friends and partners, we are glad to share a glimpse of what we are rejoicing in together. Not to mention the festive preparations for the big wedding of our son Rami & daughter-in-law Haya who are joining together in holy matrimony on the 1st of August. Pray for smooth flow of wedding plans, and above all, to the newlyweds! Can’t wait to share the mighty work of the Lord in their lives with you!

A successful life-development training

It’s the third round this year with a distinguished group from Al-Yadudah; a town in the Amman Governorate of northwestern Jordan, south of Amman. An elite group of women has gone through our discipleship journey during the last two months.

They were refreshed and empowered. Change has been taking place in their lives and their families’ on many levels; especially in communication and relationships. Not to mention that many took practical steps toward physical and health care, having neglected this essential responsibility for a long time. Thanks for praying for this program.

“This training is an answer to a long-time prayer. I felt that my spiritual life was draining since I had no spiritual nutrition to satisfy me. I recognized that every servant needs to live a balanced life and pay attention to his relationships within and outside the family. I learned a new skill in regards to setting boundaries; it reflects positively on my work and family ties. The material you provided is an invaluable reference that I intend to share with the target groups I serve.”

“I am timid in personality and can’t express myself. My husband always complains of my silence and shyness. I don’t share or discuss anything. When I learned about meeting the basic needs of the family, I felt I had a role to play with my kids and husband. It requires me to get out of my shyness and silence and interact more. Starting today, I’ll train myself to participate and express and create a happy atmosphere within the family.”

Donation

We’re soon inviting new partners for 2020, but at this time we invite you to consider a one-time gift of any size to help the community center to continue to serve those in need. So, will you help us serve the refugees for the next month?

You can also choose to support women coming to our Regional Network in October. A gift of $1050 helps cover the cost of one Arab woman to attend this valuable training.

Our other beneficiaries have something else to say:

My life has been turned upside down! I started to celebrate my life and achievements. I am more aware of my personality. My attitudes & character qualities changed through your discipleship in terms of relationships and boundaries. I am gaining more influence within the circle in which I serve children and impact their liveswhether my own, or Sunday school kids, or students at school. I received a letter from one of my students, whom I haven’t heard from since 15 years, saying, “Thank you for having the most important role in my life after the Lord; I am now serving him as a Sunday school teacher in the US!”

You helped me know & pursue my calling. You helped me start the women’s ministry at my church. You helped me develop a heart of compassion toward serving others. Moreover, it doesn’t end here; because the Lord has stirred up in my spirit the passion for mission work. So it doesn’t end here; because the Lord has stirred up in my spirit the passion for mission work. I’m just waiting in silence and patience his perfect timing to release me into this field and looking forward to the expansion of my ministry for his glory! In the meantime, I’m empowering myself through reading spiritual books, some of which you recommended. Also, I earned my master’s degree last January.

I am dedicating more time to the Lord through his word, and thus gained a stronger relationship with him and enriched my life of prayer. I started to apply the teachings of Jesus in my life, which positively affected my circle of influence. I am now equipped to serve others, listen to their problems, and help solve them. I developed positive thinking and objectivity in solving matters, besides a spiritual mentality of simplicity in life. I started to let go of stacked stuff and donate them to the church.

A story from Saudi Arabia

The teaching is an eye-opening insight into new depths. It made a difference in my life and attitudes. I have applied lots of points in my house. I took some time of solitude and re-energized. Every Awt conference I attend is a push forward, a nutritious meal, and a priceless resource on which I depend. My mindset changed in some areas which positively impacted my behavior, reactions, and relationships with people. Women I serve have always been excited to receive the new material I get. I have always felt the influence of the word and experience I share with them through their private conversations.

My knowledge increased, and vision enlightened my mind. From low self-esteem to be filled with hope and aspirations now. I am more confident with a positive approach, filtering negative messages, and receiving positive ones. My relationship with the Lord has become stronger; I realized how important I am; I grew in favor with God and people. I have influenced my surroundingsin the family, home church, relatives, and work. I am calmer and wiser in making decisions, and I am now mentoring young women.

I learned how to renew my mind and accept the will of God for my life. I learned how to pray “behind the scenes.” I increased monitoring myself. I practiced solitude; in this era of speed, we need quiet time; it enriches my quality time with others. I, socially and psychologically, influenced many groups of children, teenagers, and women through my work with SOS programs with which I’m sharing your material in the various conferences. Through your teaching, I gained knowledge. I am now equipped to serve better; you taught me how to detox whatever is negative in mindset and life. As a social worker, I shared some of your topics for mindset renewal and self-development within my circle of influence.
